The Swedish translation of women beat poets in the anthology Kvinnas Beat (August 2009) is by far the widest selection in the world, of poems by women in a beat anthology. Selections and translation by Kristian Carlsson. The 9 featured poets are: Carol Bergé, Elise Cowen, Diane di Prima, Hettie Jones, Lenore Kandel, Joanne Kyger, Joanna McClure, Janine Pommy Vega, Anne Waldman.

The Iranian poet Azita Ghahreman publishes her fourth collection of poetry on Smockadoll Press. Her previous three books are published in Iran. Since 2006 Ghahreman is living in Sweden. One of the major contemporary poets from Iran.

The first book of poems from the Canadian underground poet & performance artist Alice P. Ougler. All poems are presented in English, and in Swedish translation by Inger Johansson & Kristian Carlsson.

Also, a CD is included with “The Ougler Sessions”; several artists interpreting her poems in English. Alice P. Ougler is born in 1969 in Repentigny, QC.
